HESITATION ON ACCELERATION - CALIBRATION
UPDATE

LINCOLN:
2007 MKZ

ISSUE
Some 2007 Lincoln MKZ vehicles may exhibit a hesitation during acceleration from a stop or at slow speeds. The vehicle may also exhibit a slow or hesitating upshift while ascending hills. A powertrain control module (PCM) and the transmission control module (TCM) calibration can be the cause of this concern.

ACTION
Reprogram the PCM and 1CM to the latest calibration using IDS release IDS-47.10 and higher or IDS-48.3 and higher. This new calibration is not included in the VCM 2007.3 DVD. Calibration files may also be obtained at the website.
