Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Description and Operation
AUDIO SYSTEMThe audio system is enabled when the key is in RUN or ACC. The accessory delay function allows the audio unit to be operated for a preset period of time after the key has been turned to OFF and a front door has not been opened.
The speakers are powered either directly by the audio unit (all except THX(R)) or by the THX(R) amplifier. The subwoofers are powered by their own amplifier (Audiophile) or by the THX(R) amplifier.

- 8 speakers (includes subwoofers)
- THX(R) Sound
- AM/FM 6-CD changer with MP3 audio unit
- 12 speakers (includes subwoofers and center front/rear speakers)
- Digital signal processing (DSP) module (part of the audio amplifier)
- THX(R) amplifier
- Navigation
- Navigation audio unit
- Available with Audiophile (late build only) or THX(R) sound system
The optional satellite audio system is available with all audio systems (late build only). The satellite audio system consists of:
- Satellite radio receiver
- Combination AM/FM/Satellite radio antenna (Fusion, Milan)
- Stand-alone satellite radio antenna (MKZ)
- Satellite radio antenna cable
The audio input jack (late build only) is used to connect a portable MP3 device to the vehicle. When connected, the audio files from the MP3 player can be broadcast through the vehicle speakers.
