Power Steering Pump Belt (Part 2):

This vehicle is equipped with:
^ a V-ribbed serpentine accessory drive belt.
^ an automatic drive belt tensioner.
^ a V-ribbed power steering pump drive belt.

New drive belts must be of the same type as originally installed.

Check the drive belt condition at 160,000 km (100,000 miles), then after every 24,000 km (15,000 miles).

Belt Tensioner
Automatic tensioners are calibrated to provide the correct amount of tension to the belt for a given accessory drive system. Unless a spring or damping band within the tensioner assembly breaks or some other mechanical part of the tensioner fails, there is no need to check the tensioner for correct tension.
