Removal and Installation

1. Push in the upper edge of the exterior mirror glass to the maximum travel.

2. Grasp the outboard edge of the exterior mirror glass and pull outward.

3. Grasp the exterior mirror glass at the outer edge and pull outward and away from the mirror at the same time.

4. Remove the exterior mirror glass.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

5. NOTE:
- When installing the exterior mirror glass, when equipped with auto-dimming, make sure it snaps into the mirror motor in 4 locations.
- When installing the exterior mirror glass, when not equipped with auto-dimming, align the exterior mirror glass inboard edge first, then rock the backing plate over the adapter plate (outboard edge).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- The dampener wire should be in the channel when installing and the wires routed behind the channel. After installation test glass by manually moving the glass in all directions.
