SEAT BACKREST - REAR







Removal and Installation

All vehicles







1. Apply pressure to the lower front portion of the rear seat cushion assembly. Push the rear seat cushion REARWARD to disengage the rear seat cushion front retainers. Position the rear seat cushion FORWARD.

2. Label and disconnect the electrical connectors.

All vehicles
3. Remove the 2 nuts and the rear seat backrest.
- To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 lb-ft).

4. WARNING: The retaining wires in the rear seat cushion pad and frame and the rear seat backrest pad and frame back must be fully seated in the retainer brackets to prevent the seat backrest and seat cushion from sliding forward in the event of a collision. Failure to follow these instructions can result in personal injury.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Make sure the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants after installation.
- Verify the safety belt retractor operates without excessive effort or binding.
