Removal and Installation

All vehicles

1. Apply the parking brake.

2. Place the selector lever in the NEUTRAL position.

3. Position the front seats to the full rearward and downward positions.

4. NOTE: LH floor console lower trim panel shown, RH floor console lower trim panel similar.

Pull the middle and rear of the LH and RH floor console lower trim panels outward to release the retaining clips.





5. NOTICE: Damage to the floor console upper trim panels may occur if cardboard is not used to remove the floor console lower trim panels.

NOTE: LH floor console lower trim panel shown, RH floor console lower trim panel similar.

Position a piece of cardboard between the LH and RH floor console lower trim panels and the floor console.





6. Remove the LH floor console lower trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.

7. Remove the RH floor console lower trim panel and cardboard simultaneously.

8. Push the RH and LH floor console lower trim panels toward the front of the vehicle to detach the trim panel from the pin-type retainers.





9. Position the front seats forward.

10. Remove the 2 rear floor console bolts.

11. Position the front seats rearward.

12. Remove the 2 push-pin retainers and the 4 floor console bolts.

13. Lift upward and open the storage compartment lid.

14. Remove the LH and RH floor console finish mouldings.
- Lift upward on the floor console finish mouldings to release the retaining clips.

15. Remove the floor console finish panel.
- With a non-marring tool, pry upward on the floor console finish panel to release the retaining clips.





16. Remove the 4 floor console cup holder screws.





17. Remove the floor console cup holder.

18. NOTICE: To avoid damaging the selector lever trim panel while performing this step, place a piece of cardboard onto the selector lever trim panel.

Detach the selector lever knob bezel.

- With a non-marring tool, pry downward on the selector lever knob bezel.





19. NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

Remove the selector lever knob.

- Remove the 2 selector lever knob screws.





20. Pull the selector lever trim panel toward the rear of the vehicle to release the retaining clips.

21. NOTICE: To install, make sure to align the selector lever holes in the selector lever trim panel to the selector lever. Otherwise, damage to the selector lever trim panel may occur.

Remove the selector lever trim panel.

- Lift the selector lever trim panel upward and then rearward.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

Without navigation

22. Remove the 6 HVAC module screws.





23. Remove the HVAC module.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

With navigation

24. Remove the 4 floor console front finish panel screws.





25. Remove the floor console front finish panel.

26. Remove the 2 HVAC module screws.





27. Remove the HVAC module.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

All vehicles

28. Detach the wire harness pin-type retainer from the floor console.

29. Disconnect the floor console bulkhead connector.





30. Remove the 2 floor console-to-instrument panel bolts.





31. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever.





32. Remove the selector cable from the selector lever cable bracket.
- Release the 2 selector cable retaining tabs and pull the selector lever upwards.





33. Remove the floor console.
- Pull the floor console rearward to release the retaining clips from the instrument panel.

34. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- To install, make sure to align the retaining clips to the adjacent retaining clip holes.
