Cruise-Control Module (C-CM)
Removal and Installation
NOTE: The speed control sensor is also known as the forward looking sensor.
NOTE: If a new C-CM is installed, the C-CM requires a parameter reset to allow the C-CM and the speed control sensor to recognize each other. Failure to carry out the parameter reset to the C-CM may result in an inoperative adaptive cruise control system condition.
1. Remove the rear seat.
2. Remove the C-CM push-pin with a suitable pry-tool.
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the 2 C-CM nuts and the C-CM.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
4. If replacing the bracket, remove the 2 C-CM bracket nuts and the bracket.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Follow the scan tool on-screen instructions to carry-out the C-CM calibration procedure.
- Follow the operating instructions shown on the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).
- After completion of the test, verify that the test completed successfully.
- Follow the prompts to drive the vehicle after successful completion of the test.
