POWER DOOR LOCK FUNCTION - INOPERATIVE

ISSUE
Some 2009 Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car vehicles may exhibit inoperative front power door locks.
ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Verify power front door lock actuation using the door switches.
a. If the actuators can be heard moving up or down when commanded but the door lock push rods do not move, proceed to Step 2.
b. If the actuators will not cycle when commanded, do not proceed with this procedure and follow normal diagnostics.
2. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-14 to access the front door latch assembly.
3. If the actuator rod is disengaged from the latch assembly, install a new clip into the existing latch and install the actuator rod.
