Pinpoint Test E: DTC C1A67:54 Or DTC C1A67:76

Normal Operation

The adaptive cruise control system is enabled when the vehicle speed is set and the Cruise-Control Module (C-CM), which is a radar sensor unit, determines the distance and relative speed of the vehicle that is in the path of travel. The C-CM can be aligned both vertically and horizontally. The vertical alignment is a manual procedure carried out by adjusting the C-CM adjustment screw. The horizontal alignment is a software procedure that is carried out internal to the C-CM. The C-CM communicates over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).

- DTC C1A67:54 (Forward Looking Sensor: Missing Calibration) - set by the C-CM as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the C-CM detects a misalignment of the radar due to the alignment angle being out of range.
- DTC C1A67:76 (Forward Looking Sensor: Wrong Mounting Position) - set by the C-CM as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC if the C-CM detects a misalignment of the radar due to the vertical alignment angle being out of range.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- C-CM out of alignment

PINPOINT TEST E: DTC C1A67:54 OR DTC C1A67:76

-------------------------------------------------
E1 INSPECT THE C-CM BRACKET

- Inspect for damage to the C-CM bracket.
- Is the C-CM bracket damaged?

Yes
REPAIR or REPLACE the C-CM bracket as necessary. REFER to Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) Service and Repair. TEST the system for normal operation.

No
GO to E2.

-------------------------------------------------
E2 CARRY OUT THE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL ALIGNMENT

- NOTE: The front bumper cover must be removed to carry-out the vertical alignment procedure.
- Carry out the alignment procedures for the C-CM. Refer to Cruise Control Module (C-CM) (with Sensor) Adjustment Adjustments.
- Does the C-CM align correctly?

Yes
The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern was caused by a misaligned sensor.

No
INSTALL a new C-CM. REFER to Cruise-Control Module (C-CM) Service and Repair with sensor. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
