Pinpoint Test AK: The Auto-Unlock Does Not Operate Correctly

Normal Operation

The Remote Function Actuator (RFA) module energizes the unlock relay based upon input from the ajar switches and the vehicle speed signal. The RFA module receives the vehicle speed signal from the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The RFA module unlocks the doors when the following conditions are met:

- The vehicle speed has exceeded 20 km/h (12 mph) then dropped to 0 km/h (0 mph)
- The ignition is switched to the OFF or ACC mode
- The LH front door is opened within 10 minutes of the ignition being switched to the OFF or ACC mode

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:

- Door ajar switches
- Vehicle speed signal
- RFA module
