ISSUE
Some 2010 Fusion Sport and MKZ vehicles equipped with 3.5L engine and built from 8/1/2009 to 4/28/2010 may exhibit a steering grunt noise when turning the wheel left or right at low speed or at a stand still position.

ACTION
Follow the Service Procedure steps to correct the condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Replace the power steering pump to steering gear pressure line with the revised tubing design. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 211-02.

2. The new line comes with new copper washers. Discard the old washers.

3. It is critical to follow the purge procedure outlined in WSM, Section 211-00 to properly purge the power steering system of air.
