Blower Motor Speed Control
Removal and Installation
1. Drain the engine cooling system. For additional information, refer to Cooling System &/or Engine Block Heater.
2. Remove the 2 RH cowl grille screws.
3. Remove the RH cowl grille.
4. Disconnect the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge valve electrical connector.
5. Remove the 3 EVAP canister purge valve bracket nuts.
- To install, tighten to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
6. Disconnect the 2 EVAP canister purge valve fittings.
7. Release the 2 heater outlet hose clamps and remove the heater outlet hose.
8. Release the heater core inlet clamp and disconnect the heater inlet hose from the heater core.
9. Remove heater tube bracket nut and stud at the rear of the engine.
- To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
10. Disconnect the blower motor speed control electrical connector.
11. Remove the blower motor speed control screw.
12. Remove the blower motor speed control nut.
13. Remove the blower motor speed control.
14. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Clean and lubricate the coolant system with plain water, only if needed.
15. Fill the engine coolant level. For additional information, refer to Cooling System &/or Engine Block Heater.
