Blind Spot Monitoring
Pinpoint Test H: DTC U3000:44,45,46,48,49 Or 4A
Normal Operation
On each ignition cycle, the Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right (SOD-R) and Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left (SOD-L) run a self-diagnostic check during which the exterior mirror BLIS(R) (Blind Spot Information System) /CTA (Cross Traffic Alert) LEDs illuminate for 3 seconds then turn off indicating the system is operational. If a DTC fault is present, a system fault message is displayed in the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) message center.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right)
- SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left)
PINPOINT TEST H : DTC U3000:44,45,46,48,49 OR 4A
H1 CHECK THE SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) FOR DTCs
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) Module Self-Test.
- Clear the DTCs.
- Ignition OFF.
- Wait 5 seconds
- Ignition ON.
- Repeat the SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) and SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left) module self-test.
Are any U3000 DTCs present?
Yes
INSTALL a new SOD-R (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Right) or SOD-L (Side Obstacle Detection Control Module - Left). REFER to Side Obstacle Detection (SOD) Module . TEST the system for normal operation.
No
The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by an intermittent problem. TEST the system for normal operation.
