Clutch Controls

Clutch Controls

The clutch controls system consists of the following components:

- Clutch pedal

- Clutch master cylinder

- Clutch slave cylinder

- Clutch hydraulic fluid tube

- Clutch release fork

- Clutch release bearing

When the clutch pedal is applied, the clutch master cylinder transmits hydraulic fluid pressure to the clutch slave cylinder. The clutch slave cylinder and the clutch release fork transfer the clutch pedal motion to the clutch release bearing. The release bearing presses against the pressure plate diaphragm spring, releasing the clutch disc.

The clutch master cylinder uses brake fluid and shares a common reservoir with the brake master cylinder.
