Fuel Tank: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Drain fuel from fuel tank.
2. Remove shield, skidplate and fuel tank front strap.
3. Support tank and remove bolt from fuel tank rear strap.
4. Loosen screw clamps from fill pipe and vent pipe and remove from tank.
5. Lower fuel tank.
6. Remove vapor valve and fuel line connectors from sender unit and vapor valves.
INSTALLATION
1. Raise fuel tank and attach fuel line to sender and vapor valve.
2. Install fuel filler pipe and vent pipe on tank. Tighten clamps to specifications.
3. Attach rear fuel tank strap and tighten bolts to specification.
4. Install shield, skid plate and front strap. Tighten mounting bolts and nut to specification.
