Camber & Caster

Caster and camber adjustment is made by using one 1/2°, 1° or 1 1/2° service adjuster as directed below.
1. Measure caster and camber and compare actual measurement with specified values.
2. Select an adjuster, Fig. 2, that, with the smallest side-to-side variation, will bring alignment into specification.
3. Remove front wheel and tire assembly.
4. On 4WD models equipped with Dana 35 front drive axle, remove caster/camber adjuster snap ring.
5. On all models, remove upper ball joint pinch bolt, then, using tool No. T64P-3590-F or D81T-3010-B or equivalent, remove adjuster.
6. Install new adjuster, then, using a 1 1-2 inch socket, rotate adjuster to specified position.
7. Install ball joint pinch bolt and torque to 48-65 ft. lbs., then install snap ring.
8. Install wheel and tire assembly and check alignment.
