F3 - Leak

F3 - LEAK AT REAR MAIN SEAL AND CRANKSHAFT. REFER TO FLOW CHART, D4 / F3

1. Inspect for the following causes of leaks at the rear main seal journal:

^ rust
^ pitting
^ porosity
^ nicks

Any of the above will cause oil leakage in this area. After inspection, repair as necessary following the instructions in the flow chart.

2. Install the new rear main seal sleeve kit using SST 49 UN01 001.
