AFFECTED VINS

This bulletin applies to vehicles with VIN 4F2CU44X*MUM00001 up to and including 4F2CU44X*MUM12762. (Through April 7, 1991 production.)

This bulletin does not apply to vehicles with VIN equal to or greater than 4F2CU44X*MUM12763. (From April 8, 1991 production.)

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may experience poor A/C performance - inadequate cooling.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Repair procedures are dependent on the vehicle's production date and transmission type.





A high output A/C service kit has been established. Repair the A/C system by replacing the necessary parts as indicated in the chart:

Installation procedures for the high output A/C kit are included in the packaged kit. Removal and installation procedures for the cooling fan, clutch and shroud assembly are outlined in Section U of the applicable Workshop Manual.

NOTE:
For A/T vehicles produced after 4/8/91: If poor A/C performance occurs, perform Diagnosis and Testing Procedures as outlined in Section U of the applicable Workshop Manual. A/T vehicles produced after 4/8/91 are already equipped with the high output A/C kit.
