DESCRIPTION
Gear grinding or a weak clutch pedal feel may be caused by a leaking clutch slave cylinder. This may be caused from operating vehicles in muddy or dusty environments, or when operating after extensive storage time.
Verify that the clutch slave cylinder is leaking by checking for fluid inside the bottom of the clutch housing. This can be accomplished by removing the housing cover and inspecting with a flashlight.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Refer to Workshop Manual, Section H, for the following repairs.
1. Remove the clutch slave cylinder.
2. Replace with a new clutch slave cylinder (ZZL1 16 540A).
