Category

Applicable Model/s
1991-92 Navajo

Subject:
INADEQUATE HEATING ON DRIVER'S SIDE FLOOR

AFFECTED VINS

This bulletin applies to all 1991-92 Navajo models with a VIN of 4F2CU4*NUM08158 or lower.

This bulletin does not apply to 1991-92 models with a VIN equal to or greater than 4F2CU4*X*NUM08159.

DESCRIPTION

With the heater on and the air vents directed to the floor, some vehicles may experience inadequate floor heating.

The floor air duct is angled towards the firewall and away from the driver. As a result, air is not directed to the floor area. A modified floor air duct has been established to provide better flow and adequate heating to the driver's side floor.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

If this condition occurs, replace the floor air duct with the modified part. Removal and installation procedures are outlined in Section U of the applicable Workshop Manual.

If there is still a lack of heating to the floor area, refer to Service Bulletin # 011/92, Cat. U - Lack of Heat to Floor Area/Excessive Air Bleed to Defroster.
