A/C Signal: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 3 A/C Switch Test:

1. Remove A/C Switch, and check continuity according to Fig. 3.
2. If continuity is not as specified, replace switch.

The A/C switch signal can be checked at ECU terminal 1Q. With blower motor and ignition switches "ON," terminal voltage should read below 2.5V with A/C switch "ON" and approximately 12V with A/C switch "OFF."
