Oil Pump: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the cover.
2. Remove the rotor and shaft.
3. Remove the outer race.
4. Remove the plug.
5. Remove the spring.
6. Remove the plunger.

ASSEMBLY
1. Install the plunger.
2. Install the spring.
3. Install the plug.





4. Install the outer race, rotor and shaft assembly.

CAUTION: Make sure the dimple (identification mark) on the outer race is facing outward, on the same side as the identification mark on the rotor. The rotor and shaft assembly and the outer race are serviced as an assembly. One part should not be replaced without replacing the other.

5. Install the pump cover.
