Flow Chart No. 13: No Operation In High Blower Setting

Flow Chart No. 13 - Symptom - No operation in high blower setting.

Step 1
Check blower motor operation.
1. Turn ignition switch to RUN, function selector knob to FLOOR and blower knob to first position from HI.




2. Does blower motor operate?

Step 2
Check blower speed.
1. Turn blower knob to HI.




2. Does blower motor operate on HI?

Step 3
Check blower switch.




1. Check continuity of blower switch (1 (LO), 1 to 2 (MED-LO), 1 to 3 to 2 (MED-HI) and 1 to 4 to 2 (HI)).




2. Is switch continuous in all positions?

Step 4
Check blower speeds (LO/HI).
1. With ignition switch in RUN and function selector knob at FLOOR, rotate blower knob to LO and then one position toward HI.




2. Does blower motor operate in both positions?

Step 5
Check blower speeds (LO).
1. Reference blower motor speeds in Step 4.




2. Does blower motor operate in LO?

Step 6
Check blower switch connector.
1. Check to ensure connector is correctly and securely connected to blower switch.




2. Is connector properly attached to blower switch?
