Pinpoint Test 1

NOTE
^ Unless specified, the troubleshooting flow charts are applicable for both GEM and CTM diagnostics.

Flow Chart No. 1 - Symptom - All warning indicators inoperative.

Step 1
Check cluster ground.
1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position, then partially remove cluster.




2. Using an ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, connect second lead to black circuit at 16-pin connector, Pins 8 and 10 (black-ground circuits).
3. Measure resistance.




4. Is resistance 5 ohms or less?

Step 2
Check supply at cluster.
1. Turn ignition switch to RUN.




2. Check voltage at R/Y circuit at 16-pin connector.




3. Is voltage greater than 10 volts?
