Pinpoint Test 15

Flow Chart No. 15 - Symptom - High beams on at reduced intensity with parking brake applied.
Step 1




Check parking brake switch.
1. Turn ignition switch to RUN, turn headlamps off.
2. Disconnect parking brake switch. Using a jumper wire, connect LG/R to a known good ground.




3. Did high beams turn off?

Step 2
Check PK/W circuit or T/LG circuit.
1. With jumper wire still connected, disconnect DRL control.
2. Using a ohmmeter connected to a known good ground, measure resistance of LG/R.




3. Is resistance 5 ohms or less?
