Pinpoint Test 2

Flow Chart No. 2 - Symptom - Individual turn signal/hazard flasher lamp inoperative.

Step 1
Isolate bulb and socket.
1. Remove bulb, then check for broken filament. Check bulb socket for damage or corrosion.




2. Are bulb and socket serviceable?

Step 2
Battery feed to lamp.




1. Turn signal switch to side of vehicle with inoperative lamp.
2. Turn ignition switch on.
3. Check for battery voltage at lamp battery feed wire.




4. Is voltage available?

Step 3
Ground circuit.




1. Check for continuity between lamp ground wire and clean chassis ground.




2. Is there continuity?
