Flow Chart No. 5 - Symptom - Stoplamps inoperative.

Step 1
Battery feed to lamps.




1. Remove a stoplamp bulb, then have an assistant depress the brake pedal.
2. Check for battery voltage at lamp socket battery feed terminal(BR).




3. Is battery voltage present?

Step 2
Brake on/off (BOO) switch.
1. With brake pedal released, voltage should not be present at LG wire.
2. With brake pedal depressed, voltage should be present at LG wire.




3. Does switch operate properly?

Step 3
Common ground circuit check.
1. Set headlamp switch in park lamp position.




2. Are park lamps on?
