REMOVAL and INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Removal
1. Turn the ignition lock cylinder to "RUN."
2. Use a flat tipped punch to push in the retaining pin below the lock cylinder.
NOTE:
The retaining pin can be accessed through the hole in the steering column cover.
3. Remove lock cylinder.
Installation
1. Verify that the ignition key is in the "RUN" position.
NOTE:
Key should be in the position shown in the illustration. The spring loaded retainer pin should be able to fully depress into the lock cylinder.
2. Insert lock fully into the steering column lock cylinder housing.
NOTE:
Confirm that the cylinder is aligned with the interlocking washer before turning the ignition to the "OFF' position. This will permit the cylinder retaining pin to extend into the steering column tube flange hole.
