OperationTo raise the left power window, power is supplied from the power distribution box to the power window relay. then to the master window switch. From the master window switch, power is routed to the one-touch down relay, then to the power window motor and returns to the master window switch.
To lower the left power window, power is supplied from the power distribution box to the power window relay, then to the master window switch. From the master window switch, power is routed to the power window motor, then to the one-touch down relay and returns to the master window switch.
To raise or lower the right power window, power is supplied from the power distribution box to the power window relay, then to the master window switch. From the master window switch, power is routed to the right window switch and then to the power window motor. Power returns to the right window switch and the master window switch.
When the driver side power window switch is pressed quickly, the power window will completely lower. Power to lower the left window is supplied from the power distribution box to the power window relay. From the power window relay, current is supplied to the one-touch down relay and the master window control switch. Power from the one-touch down relay is sent to the GEM. Power from the GEM is sent to the power window motor. Power returns to the GEM and the master window control switch.
Power window system is diagnosed by the New Generation Star (NGS) Tester through the data link connector (DLC).
