SMART JUNCTION BOX (SJB) REMOVAL / INSTALLATION

CAUTION: Prior to removal of the smart junction box (SJB), it is necessary to upload module configuration information to the diagnostic tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, see MODULE CONFIGURATION PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION.

1. Disconnect the battery.

2. Remove the RH lower cowl trim panel.




3. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
1. Unlatch and disconnect the main electrical connectors.
2. Separate the electrical connectors from the SJB.




4. Remove the SJB.
- Remove the SJB screws.

CAUTION: Once the new module is installed, it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the WDS or equivalent tester into the new module. For additional information, see MODULE CONFIGURATION PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION.

5. Install in reverse order of removal.
