REAR BUMPER - BEAM

Removal and Installation

All bumpers

NOTE: This procedure may require an assistant.

1. Remove the 4 rear bumper beam-to-inner bumper bracket nuts.
- To install, tighten to 115 N-m (11.7 kgf-m, 85 ft-lbf).

2. Remove the 2 retainer and bolt assemblies from the rear bumper beam-to-inner bumper brackets.

Painted bumpers only
3. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts from the rear bumper beam-to-outer bumper bracket.
- To install, tighten to 40 N-m (4.1 kgf-m, 30 ft-lbf).

All bumpers
4. Remove the rear bumper beam.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
