Pinpoint Test 3

PINPOINT TEST 3: THE FOG LAMPS ARE ON CONTINUOUSLY

Step 1-Step 5:

Step 6:

Headlamp Switch Component Test:

Normal Operation
The battery junction box (BJB) provides voltage to the fog lamp relay through circuit (W/R). When the fog lamp switch is engaged, a voltage signal is routed to the smart junction box (SJB) through circuit (GY/V). The fog lamp relay coil ground is controlled by the SJB through circuit (BR). When the fog lamp relay is energized, voltage is routed to the fog lamps through circuit (BR/Y).

Possible Causes
- Circuit (BR/Y) short to voltage
- Circuit (GY/V) short to voltage
- Circuit (BR) short to ground Headlamp switch
- Fog lamp relay
- SJB

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
