Front Door: Adjustments
DOOR ADJUSTMENTNOTE: Verify the front door can be closed easily and the hinges are not loose.
1. Inspect the clearance and the flushness between the front door and the front fender.
Clearance (1): 3.5-6.5 mm (0.138-0.255 in.)
Flushness (1): ±2.0 mm
2. Inspect the clearance between the front door and the roof.
Clearance (2): 2.5-7.5 mm (0.098-0.296 in.)
3. Inspect the clearance and the flushness between the front door and the lower body.
Clearance (3): 3.0-9.0 mm (0.12-0.35 in.)
4. Inspect the flushness between the front door and the lower body section A-A.
Flushness (4): (±5.0 mm (0.19 in.)
5. Inspect the clearance between the front door and the B-pillar.
Clearance (5): 2.5-6.5 mm (0.098-0.25 in.)
6. Inspect the underflush of the front door to the A-pillar from point X to point Y.
Underflush (6): 1.0-5.0 mm (0.04-0.19 in.)
7. If the door is not adjusted properly, loosen the front door-to-hinge bolts and nuts enough to permit movement of the door.
- Adjust the door with a suitable tool.
8. Tighten the door hinge bolts to the specified torque.
- Tighten to 30 N-m (3.1 kgf-m, 22 ft-lbf).
