Central Panel Removal/Installation

CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the following parts:
1. Front scuff plate inner
2. Front side trim
3. Console panel
4. Console
5. Hood release lever
6. Lower panel

2. Insert the fiber stick or tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole and slide it in the direction of arrow (1).
3. After sliding the fiber stick or flathead screwdriver, insert it in the direction of arrow (2) and remove clip A.

CAUTION: Insert the fiber stick or flathead screwdriver until clip A can be removed while being careful not to allow the climate control unit to be damaged.

4. Remove clip A on the opposite side in the same procedure.

NOTE: Make sure that the all the clips A (3 locations) have been removed, and that the lower end of the center panel has been detached, then go to Step 5. (It is difficult to perform Step 5 without the center panel detached.)

5. Insert the fiber stick or tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the service hole. While pressing the clip B inward, place your hands on the edge of the center panel and carefully raise until the clip B is removed. Do this work on the other side as well.

NOTE: Clip B needs to be pressed in the direction of the arrow during the removal. If the center panel is pulled without the clip B pressed, the clip B will be broken.

6. Make sure that the clips B have been removed, then pull the center panel toward you and remove clips C.
7. Remove the center panel.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
