PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT (PATS) TRANSCEIVER









Removal and Installation

1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
1 Insert the ignition key into the ignition lock cylinder and turn to the ON position.
2 Push the ignition lock cylinder release tab with a suitable tool while pulling out the ignition lock cylinder.

2. Remove the steering column cover and reinforcement. See Steering Column.

3. Remove the tilt column handle.

4. Remove the 3 screws and the upper and lower steering column shrouds.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

6. Open the 2 clockspring wiring harness guides.

7. Remove the screw and the PATS transceiver.

NOTE:Replacement of the PATS transceiver does not require the PATS keys to be programmed into the instrument cluster again.To install, reverse the removal procedure.
