Pinpoint Test 2: All Door Locks Are Inoperative

PINPOINT TEST 2: ALL DOOR LOCKS ARE INOPERATIVE

Normal Operation

The smart junction box (SJB) receives voltage on circuit (R). When the SJB receives a lock signal from a door lock control switch or a remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter, the SJB closes the lock relay control circuit. The lock relay closes, supplying voltage to the door lock actuators on circuits (GY/BR) and (W/V) and ground on circuits (L/G) and (GY/V) locking the doors.
When the SJB receives an unlock signal from a door lock control switch, the SJB closes the driver door unlock relay and the door unlock relay control circuits. The driver door unlock relay closes, supplying voltage to the driver door lock actuator on circuit (L/G) and ground on circuit (GY/BR); and the passenger door unlock relay closes, supplying voltage to the passenger door lock actuator on circuit (GY/V) and ground on circuit (W/V), unlocking the doors.
When the SJB receives an unlock signal from an RKE transmitter, the SJB closes the driver door unlock relay control circuit, supplying voltage to the driver door lock actuator on circuit (L/G) and ground on circuit (GY/BR), unlocking the driver door; a second unlock signal from the RKE transmitter closes the door unlock relay control circuit, supplying voltage to the passenger door lock actuator on circuit (GY/V) and ground on circuit (W/V), unlocking the passenger door.

This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- Fuse
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- SJB

CAUTION:Use the correct probe adapter(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adapter(s) may damage the connector.
