Bulletin No: 02-004/09

Last Issue: 06/02/2009

Subject:
SQUEAK NOISE FROM FRONT STABILIZER BUSHING

APPLICABLE MODEL(S) / VINS
2007-2009 CX-7 vehicles with VINs lower than JM3ER****9*238574
(produced before February 1, 2009)

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may exhibit a squeak noise coming from the front stabilizer (A) when driving on rough road surfaces or passing over speed bumps.

Due to a lack of hardness on the edge of the front stabilizer bushing (B), noise occurs between the front stabilizer and bushing. The shape of the bushing has been changed to eliminate the noise.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace both stabilizer bushings (A) with new parts according to MS3 online instructions or Workshop Manual (section 02-13 FRONT STABILIZER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).

NOTE:
Install the bushings so that the arrow faces toward the front of the vehicle.

3. Verify repair.
