RATTLING NOISE FROM FRONT POWER WINDOW WHEN OPENING

2007-2009 CX-7 vehicles

DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may exhibit a rattling noise from the power window motor when the window is opening. The noise sounds louder when the window starts to go down and just before it stops. This is caused by the glass coming down faster than the operation of the motor due to insufficient sliding resistance on the power window glass.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Replace the beltline molding according to Workshop Manual (section 09-16 FRONT BELTLINE MOLDING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).

3. Verify repair.
