DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the rear bumper during highway driving. Wind pressure while driving makes the rear bumper fixing point clearance larger, causing a rattle noise.
Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
Add plain washers between the rear bumper cover and the vehicle body to eliminate looseness and replace fasteners with new ones.
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Remove two (2) fasteners (A).
3. At location (A), insert a plain washer (C) between the rear bumper cover (E) and the vehicle body (B).
4. Replace two (2) fasteners (D) with new ones.
5. Verify repair.
