DESCRIPTION

Some vehicles may experience a clicking noise from the engine compartment. The noise is most noticeable when the vehicle is rolling over a bump or driven on a rough road at approx. 10 - 15 mph. The noise may be caused by cracks inside the No. 3 engine mount rubber allowing liquid to seep out.

The durability of the No. 3 engine mount rubber has been improved during mass-production.

Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Verify customer concern.

2. Inspect No. 3 engine mount rubber for liquid seepage.

^ If liquid seepage stains are present from No. 3 engine mount rubber, replace it according to Workshop Manual. Refer to "No. 3 Engine Mount Removal Note" located in (section 01-10 TIMING CHAIN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 WITH TC]).

^ If no liquid seepage stains are present from No. 3 engine mount rubber, refer to Workshop Manual for further diagnosis.
