DESCRIPTION
Some vehicles may exhibit a hazy or foggy appearance of the rear combination lights. This concern is most noticeable when the taillights are on or while braking.
This concern may be caused by the heat from the brake light bulb (A). The inner red cap (B) becomes deformed (C) resulting in a hazy or foggy appearance of the inner lens (D) and/or outer lens (E).
The design of the inner cap has been changed to improve the heat radiation performance. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1. Verify customer concern.
2. Replace the rear combination lights (both sides) according to the online instructions on MS3 or the Work- shop Manual (section 09-18 REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION).
