DISASSEMBLY

To disassemble carburetor, remove components listed in Fig. 1 in numerical order. When removing bi-metal cover, drill out both rivets with a .118 inch bit and loosen screws under the rivets. When removing mixture adjustment screw, turn and pull out entire shell assembly, or cut shell off with a suitable saw. A new mixture adjustment screw and shell must be installed during assembly. Do not remove throttle valve and shaft, the venturi or choke valve and shaft.

REASSEMBLY

To assemble carburetor, reverse disassembly procedure, noting the following:
1. Discard all old gaskets and replace with new ones.
2. Ensure all components are clean and in good condition.
3. Ensure all components are installed in corresponding barrels and are not intermixed.
4. When installing mixture adjusting screw, bottom screw, then back off 3 or 4 turns and install shell, if equipped. Do not install blind cap or spring until carburetor is installed and idle mixture properly adjusted.
