Pick-Up Coil: Testing and Inspection
1. Connect an ohmmeter to terminals in coupler and check the resistance of the pick-up coil. Acceptable resistance is 650 +/- 50 ohms at 20°C (68°F) on both leading and trailing coils.
2. Connect an ammeter (on the 1ma range) to the terminals in the coupler and place a screwdriver on the magnet core of the pick-up coil. Make sure that the indicator of the meter moves when the screwdriver is quickly separated from the core.
3. Repeat test on both leading and trailing igniters.
