Recall - Evaporative Emission System: Overview

SUBJECT: Recall Campaign Number 21605 1982 RX-7 Evaporative Emission System


Mazda Motor Corporation will conduct a recall campaign on the evaporative emission system of the 1982 model RX-7 beginning May 30, 1986.

The Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) tests suggest that 1982 RX-7 models may fail to conform with the Federal evaporative emission standards.

Procedures for this recall are shown on attachment sheet I, and the letter to be sent to the owners is attachment sheet II.

This repair is to be made without charge to the vehicle owner, and without regard to the age of or mileage on the vehicle.

If the subject vehicles are in your used car inventory, you are requested to complete the necessary repair work before sales.
