DISTRIBUTOR GOVERNOR SET & OIL SEAL MODIFICATION:
DESCRIPTION
Modified governor sets and oil seals are available as service parts for 1986 B2000 and 1983-1985 626.
1. A resin damper has been installed in the governor set as a modification in order to eliminate the noise from the distributor.
The governor noise usually occurs when the engine operates at idle. Use a stethoscope to confirm that the noise originates from the distributor.
2. The material of the oil seal has been changed to improve the sealing ability.
If a customer complains about the governor noise or the oil leakage from the distributor, replace the governor set or oil seal with the modified one.
With regard to B2000, the modified governor set and oil seal have been installed in the distributor since the production of June, 1985.
