Float Level Adjustment Procedures

Note: Float adjustment must be performed WITHOUT air horn gasket!

1) Check the float level.

a. The float level MUST BE BETWEEN THE CENTER AND UPPER LIMIT OF THE NOTCH WITH THE ENGINE IDLING. If it is not, it must be adjusted.

Clearance "H" Adjustment:

b. To bring the float level to the upper limit it is necessary to adjust clearance (H) to 11.5 mm. Adjust by bending tang which contacts needle valve. Perform this adjustment only with air horn gasket removed.
Note: 1. Let the float lower by its own weight and measure the float level WITHOUT GASKET.

2. Measure the LOWEST POINT of float.
Note: After the float level has been adjusted verify that it is between the center and upper limit of the notch. If it is not, RE-ADJUSTMENT WILL BE NECESSARY.
