DESCRIPTION

Some main silencer service parts for 1983-85 GLC models were improperly manufactured from March 1988 to June 1988. Some of these may have already been shipped to the U.S.A. market.
If this silencer is installed, exhaust noise may seem a bit louder than normal. However, it does not affect the exhaust emission or noise regulation.

If you encounter a customer complaint of loud exhaust noise on 1983-85 GLC vehicles whose original main silencer has been replaced, replace the main silencer with a new one and submit the warranty claim in accordance with the following warranty information.
