Ignition Lock: Service and Repair
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove instrument panel lower cover.
3. Remove horn cap assembly.
4. Mark steering column shaft and steering wheel, then remove steering wheel.
5. Disconnect combination switch coupler, then remove combination switch.
6. Remove steering column assembly from vehicle.
7. Position steering column in a suitable vise, then using a hammer and chisel, gently tap a groove into the ignition lock body attaching bolts. Using a screwdriver, loosen bolts and remove ignition lock from steering column.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
