DESCRIPTION

When oil leakage is evident inside of the distributor housing on 1983-1985 GLC, it is recommended to use newly established distributor housing set with a modified oil seal.

For your reference, a similar modification took place for 1981-1982 GLC. Please refer to Service Bulletin, Category 1, 095/81 for further information.

DISTRIBUTOR HOUSING SET:

The gasket (*) is not included in the 1981-1982 GLC distributor housing set. Consequently, the gasket (E508 24 328) must be ordered separately.

VIN OF PRODUCTION CHANGE

On and after the following VIN, the modified oil seal has been installed on the distributor in production.

GLC Sedan: JM1BD221 E0771620 April 1, 1984
3 Door Hatchback: JM1BD231 E0771724 April 1, 1984
5 Door Hatchback: JM1BD241 E0750744 April 1, 1984
