PISTON RETURN SPRING:




DESCRIPTION

The servo piston return spring was increased in spring force in order to make the shift from 1-2 smoother since the production of March, 1985. Because of this change, the adjustment procedure of the anchor-end bolt as shown in the 626 Workshop Manual, page 7B:73 has been changed.

Anchor-end bolt

After tightening the anchor-end bolt to a torque of 12-15 N-m (8.7-10.8 ft.lbs.), loosen it 3 turns and then tighten the lock nut to a torque of 56-82 N-m (40.5-59.3 ft.lbs.).
